Michael J. Lyons

President / Operations

Michael Lyons is the President of Lincolnshire with over thirty five years of experience in operations, finance and senior management. Mike is a member of the Investment Committee and has been involved in the successful acquisition and realization of over forty companies during the past twenty five years at Lincolnshire. He began his affiliation with Lincolnshire in 1994 when he was named Chief Operating Officer at one of the Lincolnshire portfolio companies. He has significant operating experience, having served in such roles as President, COO and CFO at a range of middle market companies in the manufacturing, distribution, consumer products and service industries. Mike’s experience includes such successful Lincolnshire transactions as Wabash, PADI, National Pen, Amports, Prince, Riddell, BMS and many others. He has served in interim executive roles including Flight Training Acquisitions, Latite and Computer Technology Solutions. Mike has also played an integral role in the successful execution of various financial and operational restructurings and turnarounds for a select number of portfolio companies. He started his career as a CPA with PWC.

Mike is a graduate of Boston University, summa cum laude and valedictorian (B.S.B.A.), and has an MBA from Harvard University. He is an avid sports and music fan, and his experience in restructuring carries over to his personal interests: in his spare time he enjoys renovating and restoring historic homes. Mike serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Boston University Questrom School of Business where he was the Commencement Speaker in 2012.

Mike has served on thirty boards including Holley Performance Products, True Temper, Amports and Wabash and has been an observer on numerous other boards.

Mike has negotiated and executed the acquisition and disposition of over forty companies and add-on acquisitions such as PADI, National Pen, Fabbri, Excelsior Radio Networks, Wabash, Transcraft, Bankruptcy Management Solutions (“BMS”), Dalbo, Flight Training Acquisitions, Computer Technology Services, Prince Sports, Riddell Sports Group and others.
